I do home theater setup and adjustment because I believe you should get the best
out of your system, no matter how much or how little you paid for it. To accomplish this goal,
I can help you by:
Setting-up and adjusting your home theater and its components to insure maximum performance and longevity.
Working with you to figure out the right equipment to buy that will fit your budget, and that will be a good value.
Services
Consultation and Training
I am glad to offer consultation or training at your location or at my home theater here in Santa Rosa, CA. Consultation can include:
Examination of your home theater and its current condition
Advice about positioning of speakers
Advice about location of wiring
Advice about equipment racks or entertainment centers
Advice about room set-up
Discussions of video equipment characteristics and choices
Discussions of audio equipment characteristics and choices
Recommendations for purchases or modification of existing equipment to
improve theater performance
Training on how to make basic adjustments to video or audio equipment
Demonstrations of home theater capabilities and performance. (At my
Santa Rosa home theater)
No adjustments or modifications will be performed on your theater or its
equipment as part of a consultation.
Consultation or training fees up to the amount of $50.00 will count towards
payment for Tune-Up services performed within one month of the date of the
consultation or training.
Tune-Up
The Tune-Up is a whole-system checkup and adjustment. I will:
Hook up and configure old and new system components (TV, DVD player, Receiver, VCR, etc.) to ensure they work together.
Create Video and Audio hookup maps to clarify system connections and operation.
Suggest the best placement of your sub-woofer and speakers for proper sound presentation.
Check speaker phasing and then adjust the speaker sound levels for the richest surround sound
Tune your basic TV settings (brightness, color, tint, etc.) to give you a correctly adjusted picture
Create a Equipment Settings chart, with "before" and "after" values noted
Teach you tips and tricks to make the most of your new home theater system
Note any system problems or incompatibilities, with recommended solutions.
I am based in Sonoma County, California, and serve folks in both Somoma and Marin Counties.
Services are available on weekends only or by special arrangement.
Setup work does not include modifying your house.
